Outside our Monday to Friday opening hours, and all day at weekends and on Bank Holidays, your call will be redirected to the NHS 111 service.

The NHS 111 service is intended to provide URGENT medical attention for ill patients. If it is abused by calling for non-emergencies which could wait until the next surgery, other patients could be put at risk.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Luton Extended Access Service is available 18.30-20.30 Monday-Friday and at weekends 365 days of the year.

The Luton Extended Access Service also supports GP Practices in providing care to its patients. Gardenia and Marsh Farm Practice has an allocation of a small number of appointments for Doctors, Practice Nurse’s and HCA to book Monday to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday it is first come first serve for all Luton Practices.

You may at times be asked by our staff to visit this service which operates from Medici Medical Centre, 3 Windsor Street, Luton, Beds LU1 3UA and also our site at Gardenia Avenue.

It also has a team of other healthcare professionals such as Physician’s Associates and Advance Nurse Practitioners who are also able to see patients and these appointments are allocated on a first come first serve throughout the whole week across Luton.
